• negative reminders of suppression - used sparingly? And only in a surreal sense - not as permanent structures on Nemo’s Island - Only enough to remind that it is Nemo’s theme - positive human growth such as exploration of our own subconscious guides is the appropriate emphasis for this virtual world

• Easy to see from Northern Cliff Rift and is the beach the swimmer is swept to when leaping from the north cliff
• example area is the slave docks  to west of cliff rift in the swamps - and only accessed by swimming from the North edge of cliff rift
• wooden docks for transition from land to sea transportation of slaves - should be easy to convey the purpose (plenty of real world descriptions and drawings available to use as reference) - could use voices and shadows to tell stories
• docks in great disrepair but purpose still obvious with shackle posts - the oldest structure on the island - its dilapidated form could be twisted and dipping into the water to give more ominous
• When explorer walks onto the docks a trigger for audio FX of the bustle of slave trade and shadows of the past participants on the dock and shore
•  
• well known historical structures in the dream sets made by forced labor
• temples of Michu Pichu or Aztec  - music may be another good way to convey the appropriate message
